# Adding a One-off Receipt

In the **Generate Receipts** screen [filter](https://help.infoodle.com/help/finance/receipts/what-needs-receipting) infoodle gives you the option of listing transactions by the **When to issue receipt** criteria. Either you can issue a [combined receipt](https://help.infoodle.com/help/finance/receipts/combining-receipts) for a period e.g year end or you can produce a one off receipt. This **When to receipt** criteria is set when you [add a transaction](https://help.infoodle.com/help/finance/transactions/adding-individual-transactions) or in a contacts profile page. A one off receipt is a receipt that is created ad hoc or as necessary as you go. It can be for one transaction or a collection of transactions receipted in one receipt which can either list each individual transaction or give a summary of transactions for that time period.
