# Configuration Options

To enable the COVID functions within *infoodle*, you need to have access to the **Administration** area, and be a site that has the default country (in Administration, Settings, People) set to New Zealand.

### The options are explained in more detail here:

#### Enable COVID Settings

Tick this option to enable the COVID options within *infoodle*.

#### Pass Expiry Date field

If you wish *infoodle* to store the individual's pass expiry date, then you need to inform *infoodle* which field you wish to use. This is a custom field, configured against individual's and is a date field.

#### Enable COVID Pass required option on Events

Events are allowed to be either **pass required** or **pass not required** depending on how you wish to run your events. To inform *infoodle* that you will be identifying this status on events, enable this option. If this is not set, then no event status is possible and further event options are not available. This is only applicable if you have the Events package.

#### Show "My Vaccine Pass Required" on Calendars?

You may wish to show the status on public calendars; this is for public users of the calendar either through the *infoodle* calendar form or the **infoodle** app. Tick this, and when the event is a pass required event, a flag is shown; otherwise, no flag is shown.

#### Show expiry date on app and check in?

For events that are identified as a pass required date, during the check-in it is important to know people's status. This option saves you having to scan them in each time because their status is made visible on the relevant screens.

#### Enable Scanning of My Vaccine Pass?

For people with logins into *infoodle*, they can log in at home and present their pass to their camera for *infoodle* to scan and store the details according to your rules.

#### Update Pass Expiry Date data from Scan?

This stores the expiry date that will be used in the check-in processes.

#### Update Date of Birth from Scan?

In addition to the expiry date in the QR code presented, the date of birth is available. This can be used to update your *infoodle* data if you enable this function.
