# Custom Fields: Connections

Connections are a type of lookup list used to define the relationships between two people in your database. They allow you to record how individuals are linked, such as family relationships, pastoral connections, or support roles. Once created, these relationships can be added to a person’s profile and used throughout infoodle for reporting, filtering, and communication.
