# Edit a Gift Aid Approval

## Edit an approval

1. Open the person's **Gift Aid** tab.
2. On the approval you want to change, click **Action**.
3. Click **Edit**.
4. Change whichever fields you need to.
5. Click **Save**.

The fields are the same ones you filled in when you added the approval.

The form is headed **Add a new approval** even when you are editing. Saving updates the approval you opened. It does not create a second one.

**Oldest date for historic transactions** and **Note** are not columns in the list on the **Gift Aid** tab, so **Edit** is also how you check what they are currently set to.
