# Editing Forms

### How to edit a form

1. Open **Forms**
2. Click on the **pencil icon**, the second icon on the right of the form row to **edit**.  

If you do not see this icon, you do not have the correct permissions on this form to edit it.

3. Once you have edited this would be a good time to [test your form](/v1/docs/forms-test-mode)
4. Then you can **save** if you want to edit it later on, or **publish** to make it live

When a form is in edit mode, it will show **Editing** in a yellow box next to the title in the list of forms.

### Editing a published form

When you click on the **publish** tab of an already published form, you will see a note relating to [Form Versioning](/v1/docs/form-versioning)

### Reverting to an older version

1. Click on **forms**
2. Click on the **pencil icon**, the second icon on the right of the form row to **edit** ![Image](https://cdn.document360.io/d198920d-a212-4177-85f9-e1abc92e7ab3/Images/Documentation/image-64X85KNE.png)
3. Click the **versions tab**
4. Click **edit** on the version you want to revert back to or straight to **publish**

Once published, you will see it now says *"reverted from version #"* in the notes column
