Article summary

A Library Catalogue is a subsection of the Parent Library. The Catalogue contains a list of collections, which themselves contain the items within the library.

This structure allows you to easily search items and manage the permissions to access items.

For example: The Toy Library may have the following Catalogues:

  • 0-2 years
  • 2-4 years
  • 4-6 years
  • 5-8 years

When adding or editing a catalogue, you are able to give permission to individuals or groups to access one or more catalogues.

In this example you could give the group Preschool Staff permission to view and process items in the 0 - 2 years toy catalogue but not give them access to the 4 - 6 years toy catalogue.
