# How to Handle Anonymous Donations

A situation may occur where you receive anonymous donations, whether it be on your bank statement or in cash.

The best way to handle anonymous donations is:

- Create an person contact titled **Anonymous.** For details on this, see [Add a Person](/docs/adding-a-person)
- **Add transactions** or **reconcile transactions** that are received anonymously to the **Anonymous** person profile. For information on these processes see:
