# How to use Stock Items in Transactions

There are a number of uses for stock items in infoodle, namely for:

1. Recording [transaction details](https://help.infoodle.com/help/finance/transactions/transaction-jargon) when processing [individual](https://help.infoodle.com/help/finance/transactions/adding-individual-transactions), [bulk](https://help.infoodle.com/help/finance/transactions/adding-bulk-transactions) or a [collection](https://help.infoodle.com/help/finance/transactions/add-collection-transactions) of transactions,
2. [Reconciling and splitting transactions](https://help.infoodle.com/help/finance/transactions/splitting-transactions), or
3. [Adding to forms](https://help.infoodle.com/help/forms/form-fields/finance-items/stock-items-forms), or
4. Printing a [stock item report](https://help.infoodle.com/help/finance/stock-items/stock-item-report) to use during stocktake and then [adjusting the stock quantity](https://help.infoodle.com/help/finance/stock-items/editing-stock-quantity) once done.
