# Printing Labels

Printing labels is easy once your formats are set up. Here's how:

1. Click **Contact** on the Navigation bar/menu
2. Click the **Labels** sub menu.
3. On the **People** tab, select the list of People you wish to print labels for, e.g the Christmas newsletter group. ![image.png](https://cdn.document360.io/d198920d-a212-4177-85f9-e1abc92e7ab3/Images/Documentation/image-D54IJSHK.png)
4. Review the list and select one per household or organisation if appropriate.
5. Go to the **Content** tab.
6. You may have a **Template** set up already, just click on the template drop down and select. The format will be set from the Saved Template, update if needed. ![image.png](https://cdn.document360.io/d198920d-a212-4177-85f9-e1abc92e7ab3/Images/Documentation/image-VBILDJY6.png)
7. **Alternatively**, to set up a new **Template** click in the box next to Template Name, type in a name and click **Save**. Be sure to also select the correct label format. ![image.png](https://cdn.document360.io/d198920d-a212-4177-85f9-e1abc92e7ab3/Images/Documentation/image-MHE6X2X7.png)
8. Start entering your **Label Content** using the personalisations on the right hand side to help you e.g. **first name**, **last name** or **combined names** and **address**. The selected field will be inserted left of the cursor (See example below). Or type in your own wording and or image. ![image.png](https://cdn.document360.io/d198920d-a212-4177-85f9-e1abc92e7ab3/Images/Documentation/image-SNN9ROAU.png)

          Note

If you wish to address a combined household using a personalisation then see **[Addressing a Combined Household Using Personalisations](/v1/docs/addressing-a-combined-household-using-personalisations)** for more information.

1. If using sheets of sticky labels select where on the sheet you want the First label printing to start. ![image.png](https://cdn.document360.io/d198920d-a212-4177-85f9-e1abc92e7ab3/Images/Documentation/image-EPYLSZW6.png)
2. Go to the **Generate** Tab.
3. Choose the **Sort Order** for the labels. ![image.png](https://cdn.document360.io/d198920d-a212-4177-85f9-e1abc92e7ab3/Images/Documentation/image-C3824CJ5.png)
4. Click the **Test** button and then click **Show generated labels** to review the first page layout on screen. If the layout is not quite right you may need to check your formats, or names may be too long to fit the label and need to be changed. ![image.png](https://cdn.document360.io/d198920d-a212-4177-85f9-e1abc92e7ab3/Images/Documentation/image-82J2IPA6.png)
