For example, when a new person is added to the database, they will automatically be added to the new Contact group and sent a welcome email. Another example could be when a person dies, the date field is set, and a follow up task is triggered for the pastoral care team to visit the spouse on the 1st anniversary. For examples of Workflows, see **[Workflow Examples](/v1/docs/examples-of-workflows)** ### A workflow consists of: 1. A title and description. For details, see [**Adding a workflow**](/v1/docs/adding-a-workflow) 2. One or more triggers to activate the workflow. For details, see: [**Workflow Triggers**](/v1/docs/workflow-triggers) 3. Steps to progress the workflow. For details, see [**Workflow Steps**](/v1/docs/workflow-steps) In order to have access to workflows you first need to be given permission in your role. Permission is set up in Administration/Roles and is controlled by your infoodle administrator. For more information, see **[Reports, Forms & Workflow Permissions](/v1/docs/reports-forms-workflow-permissions)**.
