Article summary

Text Anywhere (formerly called Green Text) provides for a few options in respect to how the message is sent, and in particular how the 'from' is processed. This determines where the replies are sent to. Set the "send from number" to one of the following values to tell infoodle how you want to process it.

NB. Currently, our Text Anywhere support uses the original Green Text access methods. You will need to contact Text Anywhere to ask them to switch you to the 'old' platform, and provide the access keys you need.

Here are the options:

  1. Use an email address - actually, any text with an @ in it will cause this. e.g. "support@infoodle.com"
This will mean the 'from' is Text Anywhere's own number and the replies will be sent to the specified email address.

  2. Use just the word OWN (e.g. "OWN")
Infoodle uses the persons cell phone who is sending the text. The 'from' will be their cell phone phone number and replies will go to that number.

  3. One of more letters that are 'a' to 'z' (or 'A' to 'Z') in the value (e.g. "infoodle")
This will mean the 'from' is the text letters supplied and therefore the user can't reply at all. I suspect this is your requirement ?

  4. Doesn't match the other options, so is assumed to be another number (e.g. 021 123 1234)
This will mean the 'from' is set to this number and the replies are sent there.
