Check-in Update

From time to time an upgrade of the software needs be done to ensure you label server and printer continue to operate correctly. As this software resides on your computer, you will need to perform this update yourself (we can assist of course).

You will be made aware of the requirement to upgrade when you login and have chosen Labels.

Where is the current software installed

  1. Go to the computer that runs the label server software and login as the computer administrator
  2. You need to confirm the folder your software is currently stored in. To find out where this is, do the following:

    1. On your Windows computer click Start

    2. In the search bar type Services to search for the Services program. When displayed, click on Services.

    3. When the Services application is displayed, scroll down the list of Services and find the service LabelServer.

    4. Double click on the service to show the popup below:
      labelserver-service

    5. This shows the Path to Executable. This is where your software resides - c:\labelserver, in this case.

    6. Open Windows File Explorer and navigate to the location of the folder c:\labelserver and double click to open

Download and install the latest software

  1. To download the latest label server software, click on the link below, labelserver-win64-1-7.zip.

    Typically this will be downloaded into your Downloads folder.

2. Open your Downloads folder and double click on the file labelserver-win64-1-6.zip. This will open the zip file and you will be presented with a list of files.
3. Copy all of the files in the zip file (folder) and replace all of the files in the7foiper you identified earlier (c:\labelserver). Leave the file configuration.txt in place.
4. When the copying has been completed, as the computer administrator, run the batch file restart.bat.

The labelserver service will now restart and you'll be able to test to make sure the label server is running correctly.
