Edit Configuration Custom Fields

Field Options

This allows you to configure various settings that are applied across your infoodle site including options for gender fields, middle name field, preferred contact methods and more.

Just select the option to enable or disable from the dropdown lists. Then click save.

Lookup Lists

When you are creating or editing custom fields with the lookup custom field type, you have the option to select a list for that field to use. And if there is not a suitable lookup list, you can create one.

When you open the lookup lists screen you will see the list of lookups you have in your infoodle site.

  • You can see here where they are used in the used by custom field column.
  • If they have system next to them, then these are an integral part of the infoodle system and are required for correct functionality.
  • You can also delete any lookup list that isn't required by the system

Add a custom lookup list

  1. Click add
  2. Type in the title of your custom lookup list
  3. Then click edit lookup values
  4. Click add your first value or add
  5. Type in the name of the lookup item
  6. Then click save
  7. If needed, you can also organise alphabetically or in a custom order by clicking on sort manually, then change sort order
  8. Then drag and drop the item to change the order

Edit lookup lists

Edit lookup list title by clicking on edit next to the lookup you want to change
Edit lookup list items by clicking on edit lookup values then:

  1. Click add your first value or add
  2. Type in the name of the lookup item
  3. Finally click save
  4. If needed, you can also organise alphabetically or in a custom order by clicking on sort manually, then change sort order
  5. Then drag and drop the item to change the order

Field Permissions

Field level permissions allow you to control which roles, that are assigned to users, can view and edit specific custom fields in infoodle. See more on Field level permissions
