In order to successfully interact with HMRC and optionally to Xero you need to configure your Gift Aid in infoodle.
From the Left hand menu - find the Gift Aid menu in the Finances section and select 'Settings'
Then complete each of the tabs:
Charitable Organisation
This is required to send your claim directly to the HMRC - rather than manually uploading it.
- Name of organisation : This is the charity name known to HMRC
- HMRC Gift Aid number : The number you have been allocated by the HMRC
- Regulator : Which regulator you connect with
- Charity number : Your official charity number
- Submission mode : You should set this to Live
- Organisation type : This affects the GASDS only. Identify if you are a Charity or a Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC)
Authorised official
This is also required to send your claim directly to the HMRC
- id : The ID you use to login to your HMRC site to file Gift Aid claims
- Password : The password you use to login to your HMRC site to file Gift Aid claims
- Title, Firstname, Lastname, Phone, Postcode : The details registered with HMRC
Xero settings
These settings are needed if you want to create invoices in Xero
- Xero contact name : The name of the contact infoodle will search for in Xero and use or create as needed to raise the invoice against.
- Account code : The account code to record the invoice line item that records the monies returned by HMRC.
