Receiving Notifications from Stripe
When connecting infoodle to your stripe account you enable new functionality both within your Stripe account and infoodle.
New functionality in Stripe
infoodle uses your configured payment method in Stripe when making payments through infoodle. You need to ensure that the payment methods you have enabled are the ones you want.
-
Log in to your stripe account - and click the **settings cog **then payments, or click here Stripe Payment Settings
-
Once opened, click Payment Method

This screen may show several payment methods:
-
If you see infoodle Ltd account, then you will need to review it.

-
Otherwise, check your default one

When configuring you are presented with a list of payment methods. You may choose to enable or disable these. Some may require further verification information before you can use them.
Whichever method you choose, payments to your bank account and infoodle, and reconciling will all happen the same way.
Some organisations use the same Stripe account for infoodle as well as other systems. If you enable this feature, infoodle will take over these notifications, and any other system relying on them will stop receiving them. This may cause those systems to stop functioning as expected.
New functionality in infoodle
Enabling this means infoodle can act on the notifications.
- The form entry response email is sent based on your settings for the form when the payment is confirmed, which could be delayed.
- The notification emails can be enabled to allow Confirmed, Processing and Failed emails to be sent as required.
What happens if I don't enable this?
infoodle will not receive any of Stripe’s delayed status updates, which means it won’t be able to keep donors informed about the progress of payment methods that take longer to process. If you only use credit cards, this setting will have no impact on your experience.
For payment methods with longer processing times, leaving this option disabled means infoodle will send notifications as though the payment has been completed immediately - just like it does for credit card transactions
