A workflow is a series of automated actions.
For example, when a new person is added to the database, they will automatically be added to the new Contact group and sent a welcome email.
Another example could be when a person dies, the date field is set, and a follow up task is triggered for the pastoral care team to visit the spouse on the 1st anniversary.
For examples of Workflows, see Workflow Examples
A workflow consists of:
- A title and description. For details, see Adding a workflow
- One or more triggers to activate the workflow. For details, see: Workflow Triggers
- Steps to progress the workflow. For details, see Workflow Steps
In order to have access to workflows you first need to be given permission in your role. Permission is set up in Administration/Roles and is controlled by your infoodle administrator.
For more information, see Reports, Forms & Workflow Permissions.
