Pledge Confirmation

The Pledge Confirmation tab lets you show donors a summary screen before they submit a form. It's useful on donation or recurring payment forms where you want the person to review their commitment — including calculated totals — before confirming.

Note: This tab only has an effect when the form includes a Recurring Payment field.

Enabling the confirmation screen

  1. Open the form and go to the Pledge Confirmation tab.
  2. Tick Enable pledge confirmation screen.
  3. The page then refreshes to reveal the message editor and available tags.

Writing the confirmation message

Use the rich-text editor to write the message the donor will see before they submit. To personalise it with their entered details, click any of the Available tags on the left — they are inserted as merge tokens into your message.

Tag Inserts
pledge_frequency How often the payment recurs (e.g. Monthly)
pledge_start_date When the first payment is due
pledge_last_payment Date of the final payment
pledge_amount The amount per payment
pledge_total_payments Number of payments in total
pledge_total_value Total value over the full pledge period
pledge_campaign The campaign the donation is assigned to
Persons name The name the donor entered on the form
Email address The email the donor entered
Cell phone The cell phone number entered
Preferred contact method Contact preference selected
Bequest Amount Bequest amount if applicable
Current Active Donor Whether the person is an active donor
Donor Status The donor's current status
Amount The payment amount field value
Pay/Donate method The selected payment method
Gift Aid? Gift Aid selection (UK forms)

Customising the button labels

At the bottom of the tab you can change the text on the two buttons the donor sees on the confirmation screen:

  • Confirm Button Text — defaults to Confirm. This submits the form.
  • Back Button Text — defaults to Back. This returns the donor to the form so they can edit their details.

What the donor sees

When the donor clicks the form's submit button, they are taken to the confirmation screen first. It shows the message you wrote with their details merged in. They can either:

  • Click Confirm (or your custom label) to submit the form, or
  • Click Back (or your custom label) to return and adjust their payment details.
