Link a transaction that does not pay a pledge

Prev Next

The Match button in the Recurring Pledges list links the whole transaction to one pledge date. It is available only when both of these are true:

  • The transaction has one line.
  • That line is no more than the date still owes.

Match saves the link as soon as you click it, with no confirmation, and reloads the screen. Do it before you make any other changes.

  1. Open the transaction from the Transaction List with the pencil icon.
  2. In Outstanding Form Entries & Pledges, find the pledge date in the Recurring Pledges list. Dates within three days of the transaction date are shaded and marked Closest date.
  3. Click Match on that date.

The screen reloads. The banner at the top now shows the date you matched, and the date is ticked in the Recurring Pledges panel. You can now make any other changes and click Save Transaction, or leave the screen.

To move a payment that is already linked to a different date, use the Recurring Pledges panel rather than Match. See Change which dates are paid.

If Match is greyed out, hover over it to see why:2. Check the amount in Allocate on each ticked date.
3. Put anything left over on a transaction line.
4. Click Save Transaction.

For example, Iris's $60.00 payment is split into a $40.00 line and a $20.00 line on another account code. Tick her $40.00 25 Oct date. Transaction Line 1 empties itself and the $20.00 line stays as it is. After saving, 25 Oct is Paid (matched).
