Searching for a Group

Prev Next

infoodle gives you several ways to find a group quickly — whether you know its name, want to browse by type, or need to find groups that are no longer active.

Getting to the Groups area

Select Groups from the left-hand navigation bar. The Groups screen opens, showing your groups organised by group type.

Search box for groups

The main search bar in infoodle does not allow you to search for groups. However, you can do this on the groups page.

Start searching the name and the groups will appear when you have the group types open.

Browsing by group type

When you first open Groups, all groups are displayed in collapsible sections by group type (e.g. Church Programmes, Staff, Services).

  • Click any group type heading to expand it and see its groups.
  • Use the Jump to group type dropdown to scroll directly to a specific type — useful when there are many types on screen.

Sidebar views

The left-hand sidebar gives you four quick-access views:

View What it shows
My Groups Groups you are personally a member of
All Active Groups Every currently active group in your organisation
Hibernated Groups that have been set aside temporarily but not yet closed
Expired Groups that have passed their end date

Select the view you need, then scroll or use the Search groups field to filter within that list.

Show all groups

Click Show all groups to display every group in a single flat list, regardless of type. This is the fastest way to get a complete overview.

Advanced Search

For more specific searches — for example, finding groups by leader, location, date range, or custom field value — select Advanced Search from the left-hand sidebar.
